The Role:

We are seeking an experienced Sterilising Services Unit (SSU) Team Leader to join our dynamic team to work in our state of the art sterilising unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Supervisor/Manager with the development and implementation of a continuous quality improvement program that will improve customer service and meet industry standards.

To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate the below requirements in your CV and a 1-2 page cover letter:

  • Ability to prioritise workflow to meet the needs of the operating theatre
  • Initiative to resolve problems/issues as they arise
  • Ability to operate with limited guidance and work under pressure, while maintaining a high quality service
  • Proven experience in working effectively in a team environment
  • Sound knowledge of theatre instrumentation and other surgical & medical devices
  • Well-developed oral & written communication skills
  • Knowledge & respect for workplace safety
  • Minimum of 2 years working in a Sterilising Unit
  • Health Services Assistance – Sterilisation Services HLT31107 Certificate III
  • Certificate IV in Management is advantageous
