The Role:

We are currently seeking dynamic, confident, experienced professionals for the position of Registered Nurse, Intensive Care/Coronary Care. We have full time, part time and casual positions available.

This 20 bed unit encompasses Adult Neurosurgery, including Cerebrovascular / General Neurosurgery / Spinal Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, ENT, Plastics, Head and Neck Surgery and General Surgery. We also receive acute neurosurgical admissions from hospitals throughout the state as a recognised centre of excellence.

As an experienced practitioner you will display drive and enthusiasm for the delivery of expert clinical care within ICU/CCU. You will demonstrate a commitment to actively participate in and facilitate ongoing learning and development as well as a commitment to mentoring and the support of an inclusive nurturing work environment.

To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate the below requirements in your CV and a 1-2 page cover letter:


  • Current AHPRA Registration
  • Minimum of 1 – 2 years’ experience in an Adult Intensive Care or Coronary Care area environment
  • Be able to work unsupervised within ICU/CCU to an advanced standard.
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking and initiative
  • Evidence of professional development
  • Be able to mentor and support junior staff
  • Proven commitment to ongoing learning
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies.


  • Post graduate qualification in Critical Care or speciality area
  • Experience in a leadership role such as clinical team leader/coordinator

Base salary is inline with Enterprise Agreement rates from $65,050 – $91,350 (gross) per annum.

Note: This position requires you to comply with occupational screening, assessment and vaccinations in line with MQ Health’s health requirements and requires a current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for NSW.  You may also have to satisfy MQ Health that you meet all background checks (including criminal record and qualification checks).
